Renew

 

 

To renew items:

  • Log in to your account. (Log In Help)
  • Select the items you want to renew by clicking the checkbox(es) on the left. 
  • Scroll down and click the "renew items" button. 

 

You may be unable to renew items if:

  • You have fines exceeding $25.00.
  • You have not returned an item that has been recalled.
  • You have an items with a "lost" status


Bring items with a "lost" status to the Q&i desk for renewal.

 

 


 

 

Request

 

 

Find the item in the Voyager Catalog; then


Click the "Request this item" link at the top of the item record and login.

If the item is not checked out:

  • Select  "Pick Up Item at My Q&i Desk" from the drop down menu.
  • Select a pick up location. For your convenience, items can be picked up at any UR Library Q&i Desk.
  • Allow one week for item to be shipped.
  • You will be notified by email when the item is available for pickup.

If you do not have borrowing privileges, but would like to have an item sent from the Annex for in-library use, fill out: Library Annex Request Form.

 

 


 

Recalls

 

Available to UR Faculty, Staff, and Students

 

All loans are subject to recall. Due to our liberal renewal policy, we encourage faculty, students and staff to recall needed items. When an item is recalled, the due date is changed, giving the current patron one week to finish using the item. If not returned on time, fines accrue at the rate of $1.00/day.

 

If an item you want is checked out:

  • Click "request this item" at the top of the record.
  • Select  "Get Checked Out/Overdue Item For Me" from the drop down menu.
  • Select a pick up location. Items can be picked up at any UR Library Q&i desk.
  • Allow one week.

 You will be notified by email when the item is available for pick-up.

 

 



Locates

 

If an item is not on the shelf:

  • Check the Voyager Catalog record. Confirm that the item is not checked out or declared missing.
  • Initiate a staff search through the "request this item" link at the top of the item record.
  • Select  "Pick up item at my Q&i desk" from the drop down menu or, fill out a locate card at any Q&i Desk.
  • Select a pick up location. Items can be picked up at any UR Library Q&i desk. 

Staff will conduct a search and notify you of the results. If an item cannot be found, staff will change the status of the item to missing. UR faculty, students, and staff should request the item through Interlibrary Loan.
