Code of Conduct Use of the Libraries by anyone is a privilege, not a right. Any use of the Libraries is conditioned upon the user not interfering with the use, study and research of other Library users or the work of Library staff. Library staff may prohibit and/or limit acts that interfere with the basic purposes, necessities, or processes of the Libraries, or with the rights of its users and employees. The Libraries have the right to impose penalties, including fines and loss of all access and use of the libraries, against anyone who has exhibited behavior inconsistent with the mission, purpose, and rules of the Libraries. Circulation Privileges Borrowing privileges are granted to individuals with RRLC Access cards. Please inquire at the Rush Rhees Q&i Desk for details. Interlibrary Loan Interlibrary Loan services are limited to current University of Rochester students, faculty, and staff. Electronic Resources Many library resources are available in electronic format. These databases are licensed for the use of University of Rochester students, faculty and staff. Use of selected resources by guests is permitted, but if guests use electronic databases, please respect our need to give University of Rochester students the highest priority of access on our public computers. Public Use of Computers Computers, printers and related equipment for word processing, multimedia development, web browsing, and other personal computing tasks are available only to University of Rochester students, faculty and staff. As a designated Federal Depository Library, visiting researchers needing online Federal government resources may also make use of the computers Pre-college Students Elementary school students, junior high, and high school students accompanied by an adult may use our collections if they are working on a special project for which the public library and their school library have proved insufficient. |
